Everyone is so creative! We had a fun day. We showed off our costumes and Mr. Orr came in to read us a fun Halloween story called "Boo" by Robert Munsch. See the pictures below.
We all look so nice today for picture day! We took a class picture in our room before going down to get our individual professional photos done. We of course had to take a silly one too!
In the coming weeks, your child will bring home a large piece of paper that looks like this. It is called a Newschart. Each day it will be a new child's turn in our class. They will tell the class things about themselves that they want to share. It will help us get to know each other better. While we do our newschart we look at the period at the end of each sentence and point out repeated words. After a child shares, we practice asking them questions. We discuss the difference between a question and a comment. If your child hasn't brought one home yet they will have their turn soon. Here is a picture of mine for an example:
