Learning Our Letters

In class, we are starting to focus on learning our letter names and sounds. We learned that each letter in the alphabet has an uppercase and lowercase letter.  Today we went over the letter A. We learned how to print an upper and lowercase A, practiced the A sound, and named things that start with the letter A. I have attached the letter A video to help you review at home if you would like. If you are looking for some extra letter practice here are some suggestions:

-Write the letter A with your finger in salt or sand.

-Write the letter A using markers, crayons and a pencil.

-Trace the letter A in the air with your finger.

-Build the letter A using blocks, cereal or pasta noodles.

-Look for things that start with the letter A- example at the grocery store- Apples, Almonds, Apricots..)

-Name things that start with the A sound on the walk or ride to school.

-Talk about if you have a friend or family member whose name starts with the letter A.

-Watch the Letter A video:
